Hi Anna,

Nice topic about decision. Well, Our intuition is a powerful decision-making tool, especially when it is a critical decision As we face a situation, we can easily be so excited and enthusiastic that it is difficult for us to hold ourselves back to think and then act.

Accessing and developing intuition is a natural gift that we can all develop more fully, and if you allow yourself to trust your intuition more, you will find that many answers are already inside you, waiting to be called on.

Hi Dorothy - That is indeed a good way of feeling out what you really want to do when you're stuck! I know some people think muscle testing is bunk but it's worked for me.

This a great topic. Since I began trusting my intuition more, the confidence and inner trust to make good decisions is increasing as I grow in congruence with my values.

But if I really get stumped: I do a type of instinctive muscle testing by outstretching both arms and asking myself the question with one hand for yes and another for no. The true inner answer makes the "yes" arm lift easily, and the "no" arm slightly harder to lift.

it's woo-woo, but it works, too.

Hi Rose,

Glad you liked it! I'm not really sure why we say there are always five options. I mean, it must be possible that there are sometimes more than five as lots of things are possible in life, right?

I guess more specifically it could mean five options that the client is likely to choose from now, or five that they themselves have as possible paths in their mind or subconscious. I'll have to do more research on this!

Hi Anna,

thanks, what a nice post! :)

I wonder why exactly five options? I usually see more than five. :S

Hey Anna thank you so much for that response! I'm glad you followed your instincts. Otherwise you wouldn't be doing your wonderful readings.

In the larger scheme of things, if I stop Honours, it's not really much of a big deal. But I'm in the middle of it and I have to take the resistance of other people which will be a growth experience. I know this is the right decision though !!!

You're right though. This path seems right for me is not going to be a good enough explanation for the decisions I make to others. Man I'm going to have to say good bye to all my friends. They're going to be like thinking what the hell... but hey I'm the one living my life.

Hi Yang, Do you have to justify your choices to anyone? A lot of the time I make choices because they feel right to me, and often when I do that other people, like my family, want to know what my logical reasons are for the choices I make. And 'this path feels right to me' is usually not enough of a good reason for other people because they're not in the habit of following their instincts themselves. So I personally have learned that it's a waste of time coming up with arguments to convince people that you're making the right choices, because people often won't give you their approval (even if you know you're on the right track), especially if you're taking a risk!

Well I've already finished my Bachelor degree... I am doing Honours this year. But man I really need to create some good arguments to deflect people's judgement. Thanks Anna.

Hi Uzma, if all the options are feeling good to you, then they are probably all highly aligned with your highest path and purpose (the path that brings you the most growth). It's possible that they're all 80% aligned or more. In which case, you can pick the one that appeals most.

Hi Yang - you mean you're stopping your actuary degree? Wow, big changes! Good luck :)

Hey Anna

Oh my God. I've been reading life purpose posts and I've been looking at this post too. I'm actually in the middle of making a big decision. Instead of starting my math tutoring business next year. I am planning to start it soon. I am actually planning to stop my Honours degree. !!! I would really love to do this but it is going to be a path of a lot of growth...
