More Changes In the Air & Win a Copy of my Newest Product

Change is in the air – again.  And you can win a copy of my newest product by leaving a comment on the end of this blog post. But before you can do that, you need to know what you are commenting on.

Here’s the backstory:

Last night I set myself some goals for this website.

Goals…

I am turning this website from a readings website into a resource and information site.

When I started giving readings professionally in 2008, it was primarily a readings site and I added a blog onto this website.  Over the course of the next two years, I added around 80 articles.  That’s around three articles per month.

However, in the past few months I’ve felt something gnawing at me.  My aim for this website has always been to provide a place where people can come and learn about psychic abilities, without feeling like they’re insane, or without any of the spiritual mumbo-jumbo or weird stuff that you have to wade through in order to get your info (apologies to anyone who likes the mumbo-jumbo or weird stuff.)

This website is that place a little bit, but it’s growing very slowly as I’m also a full-time psychic and it’s frustrating me.

My focus for the rest of this year will be writing.

By the end of 2010, I want there to be 350 articles on this website.  That’s a rate of at least one article per day from now until the end of 2010.  I average around 180 readers per day and I want to average 1000 readers per day by then.

That’s 250 articles to be written this year, which is at least one a day. If you’re subscribed to my RSS you may well be sick of me by the end of the year!  I have ideas for about 40 articles.  I have a feeling that new topics will come up once I start writing and discussions are sparked off. But I don’t want to start off writing in a vacuum – I’d like your help to find out what else I should write about.

I have 4 Questions for you…

1. What is this website missing?

2. What questions do you have about psychic abilities/the spirit world/intuition/spiritual stuff that you have never had answers to?

3. Which topics would you like to see covered here?

4. What do you like reading about and is there any topic that you find boring/that turns you off?

I know everyone’s answers will be different (particularly for the last one), but I am looking to see if there’s a common thread.

Here are some ideas:

Reviews of books/products/courses for psychic development

How-to articles, such as how to use a pendulum

More articles about the Akashic Record and past lives

Articles about my experiences with the spirit world

More info on controlling overactive empathy

Aura readings of celebrities and famous people

If you leave a comment to this article and answer these questions, you will go in to win a copy of my newest product – The Guide to Chakras –priced at $30, which is coming out next week.

This is a guide to opening, closing and clearing out chakras.  It also teaches you to recognize and correct imbalances in your chakras.  It’s an adapted version of chapter five of my Psychic Awakening course.  It contains almost an hour of audio instructions, an e-book and a 45 minute guided meditation that doubles up as a healing session and a lesson in opening up, closing and clearing out chakras. It’s the next best thing to having an intuitive healing session with me.

This coming Sunday (23rd May) I will ask my spirit guides to pick out someone who leaves a comment.

Please do not leave a comment if you have no views at all on this matter or you’re not interested in reading material like this.  I would like to hear from people who have read my articles before.

Thank you!

Anna

Very insightful website to begin with. I would like to see more on Astral Projection or out of body experiences. Can this help with the healing of the spirit. Can it be used with Chakras such as clearing out and bringing balance? I just want to say Anna I do enjoy reading the articles and coming to website to check out the new additions of articles. Keep up the good work.

  2. andante says:

    Hi Anna,

I look forward to every article that appears in my rss feed, so feel free to fill it up.

The ones I love most are your personal experiences and how-to articles. AR and past lives could be interesting, as well as aura readings. A series on how to read auras for the aura-viewing impaired would be especially welcome.

Looking forward to reading what you come up with, and happy writing.

  3. Kate says:

I love reading anything personal. Your personal experiences. Also I’d like to read more articles on empathy, and articles on cord cutting and the before and after effects. Perhaps an article on what process you love the most and love most doing with your clients.

  4. Christiaan says:

    Hi Anna!

I happened upon your site well over a year ago when I was searching for more information about incarnation, star beings, etc. I was so happy to find your site! It was instantly engaging and free of the… Pretense (for lack of a better word). Your site is very fresh, young and immensely informed. I am very impressed with what you have done thus far I immediately loved your very honest and personable approach to not just that subject matter, but all of the subjects you have explored on your site. I check in on your site every week, always excited to learn from you and to hear what you have been going through in your life as well. Your candid approach to sharing information with your readers is really endearing, and I have to say, that is my favorite part of your site. It helps to add perspective, and puts the reader (at least this one) at ease that the process of growing spiritually is not without its ebbs and flows/ups and downs. Since discovering your blog, I have lost count as to how many friends I have sent links to. I refer to your postings often when conversing with people. So before I continue with a critique, I would like to thank you for the work you have been doing!

The links that you have provided have also introduced me to many other blogs that have been very useful (but yours prevails as my favorite!). What holds my interest most is learning more about ways to develop intuition and connection to Spirit. Some of the things you suggested on your post, such as pendulum reading and stories about your exploration of spirit worlds really piqued my interest. The suggestion of doing auric readings of celebrities, however, doesn’t feel right to me. As interesting as it may be to find out your assessments of certain individuals, I really like how this site is about informing the self without the reliance of discussing others. It might become a trap for gossip or celebrity fodder.

I’d like to see more about the exploration of past lives and how to access this information more deeply. Other topics like face reading, learning to see auras, and tips for effectively meditating (I know you have more than grazed the surface of this topic, but I am always afraid I am doing it wrong) would be great as well. The article about automatic writing really rocked my world. I would love to know more about that and other similar techniques to connect to the higher self and spirit guides.

Congrats on your decision to expand on your writing and I am really excited to see what’s to come for the rest of this year. The idea of getting to read fresh updates daily is simply thrilling!

    Hi,
I would like a recommended reading section with books that are easy to get in NZ and Australia.
I like your how to articles and yes would love one on how to use a pendulum as my friend and I tried but didnt get correct answers.
More on developing intiution, how to recognise and heal blocked chakras.
Your views on subjects God, being spiritual into days society.
I liked your personal articles esp the one where you pointed out that you are human like the rest of us. So many come across as ‘saints’
Im sure you will reach your goal, it will be great.
    Thank you

  6. Anna says:

Cindy – thank you for the feedback! I wish I had some knowledge of astral projection but I’ve never had any experiences with it so far so would have to do some research and experimenting if I were to write about that.

andante – thank you for the encouragement and feedback!

Kate – I have been meaning to write one on cord-cutting for a while. That’s pretty much top of the list, I will also have to think about the other suggestion. Thanks for the feedback!

Christiaan – you are very sweet, thanks for all this encouraging feedback :) and for the ideas (and referrals)!

Theresa – Thank you for this. That is an interesting suggestion – I do have a blog post planned for recommended books. Are you in Aussie or in NZ? Trademe.co.nz is good for getting cheap second-hand books in NZ.

  7. David Chung says:

As a developing psychic myself I would love to see some content on how you manage the practical, business side of things, like how you work with clients, how you schedule your day… but that may not appeal to the general public ;) Maybe a few articles looking back on your spiritual and personal growth as a psychic/professional intuitive or your spiritual journey would be more suitable.

I’d also like to read about any personal psychic experiences or ‘close encounters’ with the paranormal you may have had, those are always fun to read about.

You could also have a weekly Ask Anna post where you answer questions people send in.

It’s great to hear that you’re going to produce more content, but one article a day sounds like it will be very demanding. If there’s going to be a trade-off between quantity and quality, I’d much rather you had just 1-3 great articles a week. But if you can maintain the quality of the content you have now, then go for it!

  8. Peter says:

    Hi Anna,

as I’m an empath myself I would love to read more about this topic, as well as about your experience in cutting cords of attachment. Rose Rosetree’s topics from a different (personal) perspective, that would be really wonderful.

Maybe you could also have a go at some video, for example you could write this article about pendulums and some short video demonstration would be very handy. How-to articles in general are something I like a lot.

Oh, and don’t write because you have to write an article a day but because you have great ideas and want to share them with the world :-) If you take longer to write an article then by all means use the time.

    Happy writing and good luck!

  9. Alena says:

    Hi Anna,

That’s great news that there’s going to be more articles!
I’d like to read more on the following topics: developing psychic abilities and intuition, how to work effectively with the spirit guides, how to read Akashic records, how to learn to see auras, DNA activation/repair.
Also, I’d like to see some interesting examples of how to apply “spiritual stuff” to solve everyday problems, for example, Rei Williams has an ebook on how you can use the help of your spirit guides to get rid of limiting beliefs: http://www.reiwilliams.com/products/tweak-your-beliefs-ebook/
Something like that will be great.
And it would be interesting to read about your experiences and examples from your life too.

  10. Sylvia says:

    Hi Anna,

I enjoy your personal experiences and also how-to articles. I am very empathic and developing my psychic abilities. I enjoy reading what you went through because I’ve been probably there or will be in the near future. I am SO glad you decided to expand your writing! Its insightful but engaging and inspiring too!

  11. Darla says:

Wahoo Anna! You can leave me out of the drawing but I wanted to tell you that I’m really excited for you and the goals you have set! As a fledgling intuitive here are some articles I’m interested in reading:

♥ “How-to” anything. I’ve learned a lot in the last 6 months but I’d still like to know how others are doing it. For example, I use a pendulum but I’d love to read about how you use a pendulum. Maybe I’ll learn something or maybe I’ll just be reassured that I’m doing it right.

♥ Stories about your experiences with the Spirit World are always fun to read!

♥ Maybe address some of the scarier things– or so-called scarier things. For example, I want to advance my intuitive skills but I’m afraid I’ll start seein ghosts :) is this valid, silly, or is seeing ghosts not as scary as it seems in movies.

♥ ok so I’m slowly building my own intuitive practice. In between readings for other people what can I do to strengthen my skills? Meditate? Contact my guides just for the sake of contacting my guides I’m concerned that I’m reading and studying too much ABOUT it and not doing enough OF IT.

    besitos!

So many good suggestions here, I hesitate to add anything.
No celebrity readings, please. In addition to your own experiences, I’d rather hear ‘Lessons Learned’ from other people’s readings, told anonymously of course. I second the requests for Suggested Reading and tips on the daily practicalities of attracting and serving clients. I’d also like to see the blog column be a wee bit wider, with a little more margin between the main column and the right column. I think your site is great.

  13. Jen Smith says:

    Hey Anna
Great to hear more about your plans, they sound really inspiring. :)
I always enjoy your posts … they are clear and easy to understand and demystify much of this area for me. In terms of what else I would like …some ‘how to’ posts would be good, i.e how to contact spirits, how to know it’s real and not your imagination etc….
    Thanks Anna

    Hi Anna,

Yay for more articles! I always look forward to reading your new ones. You offer a fresh, down-to-earth point of view on these spiritual topics! I would love to hear more about the Akashic Records and the star origins (I haven’t been able to find very much info about this in general). I am also interested in learning more about working with and feeling energy. You are fantastic at breaking things down into manageable chunks, so any how-to’s you provide will be very helpful to your readers. I also love hearing about your personal experiences, both with the spirit world and life in general. Best wishes to you Anna. You are inspiring.

  15. Jupiter says:

I have enjoyed your blog posts, and my biggest complaint has been the relatively low frequency of posts. So I am delighted to hear that you’ll be posting more often.

The single most interesting area for me would be “How to using intuitive abilities to foster and accelerate spiritual growth.”

It is nice to use intuition for a smoother more fulfilling life. But there are increasingly large number of people who want to get to the source and evolve their consciousness. Meditation is one good direct method for this. And I don’t think there is a substitute for that. But given a robust set of practices including meditation, prayer, chanting that one is utilizing regularly, how can intuition further that?

  16. Anna says:

    Hi David,

    Thanks for these ideas.

I just set up a business blog/website actually for those topics. There is very little on there but when I start posting content, I will put a link to it on my site. If you’ve got any other suggestions of what you want to read about in terms of the professional side of it, let me know.

One article per day is my goal – but I’m not entirely sure if it’s doable yet. When I was making my product I used to write 3000-5000 words per day. Most of my articles are around the 1000 words mark. But you’re right, I will definitely make sure I don’t publish articles for the sake of doing it.

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for your suggestions…

I HAVE been meaning to do a video about using a pendulum – I figured it would be helpful for people on my course as well to see someone doing it on video.

  17. Catriona says:

    Hi Anna!

First, I think your site is excellent and I absolutely devour your articles. In brainstorming fashion I’ve kept all my rather leftfield thoughts in – hope you can dig something useful out of the general warbling below …

    1. A review section with reviews of books and courses on psychic development of all sorts would be good. I’d also be interested in reviews of books (fiction or otherwise), films, music, events or festivals where the psychic features or is an important theme. This could be extended to books which are not explicitly psychic, but which can provide an interesting angle on aspects of the psychic. You could perhaps also cover psychic retreats, a psychic viewpoint on areas of great natural beauty (or the reverse!), or articles on phenomena such as thin places and how they have been developed into a psychic destination, etc.

    2. Questions – I’d be interested to hear a bit more about people’s sensory experiences of angels and spirit guides, particularly in relation to the traditional senses. I’d also be interested generally in hearing a bit more about the emotional freedom technique.

    3. Topics – I’m particularly interested in empathy and healing, and how small positive actions can sometimes have large effects. I’m also interested in how-to advice on protecting yourself from overactive empathy, and how to detect this in others.

    Other thoughts –
Articles linking the psychic to experiences of music, or perhaps dance. I dance the tango and the dance dynamic between partners (tuning in to each other) and the rest of the dance floor is interesting. Also interesting how many therapists of all colours seem to dance the tango! Music articles could be about the listening experience, the type of music, the experience of playing, making music as a healing experience, perhaps even the use of music and singing at, for example, funerals, weddings, etc.

Interviews or Q&A with other professional psychics, healers and others about their personal experiences, history, techniques and how the psychic features in their non-professional life.

My first thought was ‘definitely no celebrities!’, but on reflection, aura readings could be interesting, particularly if combined with how-to advice or exercises in developing this ability.

Articles about psychic history and psychics past and present of all varieties and nations.

Articles about supposedly bogus psychics; the use of psychic-seeming techniques; and about general psychic scepticism and the history of this point of view.

Links to articles in the mainstream press and on web and news sites relating to psychic phenomena.

    Perhaps even something about parapsychology???

Featured topic – you could consider highlighting a featured topic for a week/month/longer and linking in new articles, links to articles on other sites, or reminding people of your great back-catalogue (presenting old info in a new way/order).

    4. I read everything on your site with enthusiasm! I perhaps find the Akashic records a little harder to relate to, but in some ways this makes me more keen to read more about it.

Your articles are excellent, warm yet incisive and superly clear – thank you!

  18. Roshni says:

    Hi Anna,

I really appreciate your website and get a lot out of it. Thank you so much. :)

I’ve been learning a lot about chakras and all of the different bodies lately, and especially how they tie into yoga, and I’d love to see something up on your website about that if you think it’s relevant and interesting.

Also, anything on learning to balance your life and look at it from a meta-level perspective to make effective changes rather than be too caught up in thinking, planning, imagining etc and not actually doing!

I’d also be interested in seeing something on your website about the link between values and beliefs and attitudes and how they create behaviour, and the spirituality side of this. there’s a lot of info about the mental side of this on psychology websites and things, but not a lot about spiritual behaviours and patterns… just a thought, incase you’re interested in this. :)

Something else which I’d be interested in reading about is, and i hope it’s not too basic a question, is about how to figure out what your values and beliefs are, and in relation to that, work on clarifying your soul puprose in this incarnation (or lifetime if you don’t believe in reincarnation..). I’ve just started reading the book ‘soul lessons and soul purpose’ by sonia choquette and it’s really got me thinking about how to become aware of my soul purpose, it’s a really interesting area that i think i’d like to get to know more about!

I also read a lot about how to live non-judgementally, how to accept your situation and not judge yourself, how to remove your expectations so you can find more mental clarity and freedom and create space within yourself this way, mindfulness etc. It’d be great to see some articles maybe about the spiritual aspect of this, as a lot of resources go into the mental and emotional, sometimes the physical, but not often the spiritual, and it’s all so interesting!!

I also would love to learn more about exploring past lives and exploring inner selves too.

Well, that’s a fair bit of stuff… hope its not too overwleming and that it actually answered your question!

It’s wonderful that you’re planning on expanding the website! Best and warmest wishes and good luck with it, I hope it manifests beautifully, and you thoroughly enjoy, grow and develop in the process. :)

    Love,
    Roshni.

Alena & Sylvia – Thank you both for your input!

Hey Darla – Thanks for your feedback as well.
A couple of these topics I might cover on my new website for professional intuitives (there’s nothing on there at the moment but will give the link out when I finish writing it.)

Mary – Thanks for this. I agree that the blog is too narrow – my website is being redesigned as we speak and the writing space will be wider.

Hi Jen – Thanks for giving your input. It seems everyone likes ‘how-to’ articles, so there will definitely be more of those coming up!

Thank you Denise for your lovely feedback.

  20. Sharon says:

I read your 4 questions and thoughts were popping … and then I read your ideas. I wish I had answered first – would have been fun to see how we lined up. Now I can’t remember what belongs to whom – how funny!

Okay, I’ve cleared my mind and these are my thoughts:

I appreciate the feedback and clarification you offer in the comments. I also learn so much from others’ questions and sharing of their experiences. I would like more of that. Perhaps interviews and guest contributors. Hand in hand with that I find reviews to be so helpful. Your voice and perspective resonates with me so I’m confident you would review books/products that I would also like.

I’m a novice in pursuing the intentional awareness of and engagement with the spiritual realm. I want to know what being psychic looks like? (Internally from your perspective as you experience it.) I loved the anecdote about taking your French grammar book to school on the off day. Perhaps “mundane”, but it’s a real world example of intuition at work in day to day life. Detailed description of how you experience your process would not only be a cue of what we might look for in ourselves, but would demonstrate the practical benefits of having insight.

I would like to know more about aura reading and the idea of reading celebrities for practice sounds fun … a contest maybe?

I’m really looking forward to your new path here and all the new content coming our way.

  21. Dusty says:

I would LOVE to read more about incarnations on other planets – you’ve touched on it very briefly before but I’d love to read more about it.

Also, the akashic records. And past lives (especially stories of past lives, I like those!), and knowing how to tell the difference between imagining a past life and what is *really* a past life.

And – relationships with spirit guides/angels. I admit I rarely talk to mine except for the occasional mental wave, and yet it feels oddly one sided, even though I know they are doing what they do – they never feel quite there and it feels like reaching out to emptiness sometimes.

    Hi Anna,

Im really glad you’re here to guide us through this – I love your articles as they’re always so clear and concise. Personally, I would like to see more on some of those you mentioned above, simply because i relate to them more – though everyones going to want different things depending on their spiritual path. :P

    - More info on controlling overactive empathy, and how to use it to your advantage;
    - Reading auras

I’d also like to see your views on “2012″ and the “new age”, and any changes both within ourselves and the world in relation to this.

I’d also like to see more about:
    - how to live your truth in an ‘egoic world’ i.e. how to deal with other people effectively and peacefully, while remaining true to your own spiritual path and purpose – more “day-to-day” strategies on living your truth.

Thats about all i have at the moment. I’ll let you know if i think of anything else!

Lots of love and all the best,

    Asanji

I was thinking a little more about your last question, ‘What do you like reading about and is there any topic that you find boring/that turns you off?’, and I realised that in general I find that if something’s not explained well, especially when the context of how it relates to other related topics, areas, skills, etc, I get confused and don’t get as much out of it.

Thought I might share that with you incase that helps!

    Hi Anna,

I was thinking this morning, after waking up on the wrong side of the bed, that if you’re interested, it’d be great to see an article on something like ‘when you’re in a crisis, tip on how to calm down to tune into spirit’ or something like that.

Also, I’m re-reading this great book at the moment called ‘The Wild Genie: The Healing Power of Menstruation’, and I was wondering if you had any thoughts/insights on changes in connecting to spirit through the menstrual cycle, or about masculine/feminine energies?

Hope you don’t mind me and my bombardment of things to possibly write about.
